There is a woman that owns deer tracking dogs near my place outside Preston Ga. If you can't find a deer you wound, she comes for a very reasonable fee, puts her dogs on the trail and really does find them.
So what has that got to do with this snake topic? She will NOT allow her dogs to track deer from the archery season opener through October because of snakes. Seems she has both lost dogs to snakes and had some badly wounded by them. After it cools in early November, she makes her service available .

Even running tractor to put in food plots, I carry both a 22 mag NA Arms mini revolver with snake shot or the old K 22 Smith that worked here. This is relatively common in Georgia. Snake boots always.
