I call them "Skippy", and when well centered with a 35gr @ 3800 fps+ 22-250 round, they "POP" and their heads "POP" off and fly thru the air, also called "POP GUTS" around here. LOL.
Right you are NV, and pop they do! Flying rat heads always produce great fits of laughter.

OT: The term "Skippy" I believe, was coined back around 1995 by a very good rat shooting friend of mine from TN while out here shooting squirrels with me. One of the articles I wrote mentioned this incident in Varmint Hunter Magazine some time back and gave Gene credit for the term. I've used it on forums now for almost 25 years since that day, and it really seems to have caught on with rat shooters all over the west. It just seems to fit quite well.
The original conversation from bench to bench in the rat patch right after a very good launch Gene made at around 300 yards went something like "Jump, Skippy jump!" with that Tennessee accent. A silly chuckle ensued And Skippy The Flying Squirrel now lives in infamy.
