77gr SMK VS 73gr Berger LTB in AR

My pet AR has a Kreiger 1/7 20" NM contour barrel. Of all the loads I've tried, 22gr of Benchrest, Fed Match preped brass, Win primers, Molly coated Berger 73gr LTB bullets seated to fit the AR mag is the most consistent - 10 shot 200yd 1/2" groups.
Switching to Molly coated 77gr SMK with everything else being the same, shoots 5/8" 200 groups.
At 300yds both run 1" or just under.
I haven't shot it past 300yds but I figure the 77SMK will hold better in the wind at 500+yds.
Any thoughts?

Try some 80 gr. Hornady AMAX or 80 gr. Sierra MK's in it, you've got plenty of twist for them, if not available the 77's will work but have a bit more drift.

I shoot both out of mine, but the bergers are a little better group. I would shoot Sierra because they are cheaper.

I never did like the moly, although it did show better speed, but didn't go that route....

You could try these, not mine but a heck of a DEAL:

I've tried the 80gr SMK but they don't like to be seated to mag length. If I load them to a OAL that requires single loading they group great.

This is the only barrel I moly coat for. I shoot long strings 250-300rds in a single setting and the moly keeps the groups nice and tite. It is a bear to clean but without it groups open to 1" or bigger at 200yds after 100 or so rds.
