7 saum or sherman max - which is the most inherently accurate?

Hi,
I want to rebarrel a tikka 7 rem mag to a 7 saum or 7 sherman max. I can get prefit barrels for both.

Which is the most accurate?

I assume the sherman max and I believe the case prep and reloading will be easier with the sharper sholder.
Does that lead to better accuracy too?

thanks haeffnkr

Myself and Alex Wheeler, have tried a few. Not much gain over a 7 Saum. Some early pressure with the Max. Very strange, and we had it in 3 barrels.

I have had 3 Saum barrels and they have all been fantastic. The Bartlein 5R have been shooting very well. 8.5-8.7 twist works best imo. Here is a group I shot today at 600. Cold bore 5 shot group from my hunting rifle. RL23, BR2, 180 Hybrid -20. 2910

I don't think either would have an accuracy advantage, the max will require less trimming for sure and get you closer to wsm speeds.
I see Richard sells 40 degree adg brass for the max at the same price as 7 saum.
Kind of an easy choice in my opinion

I'd say pick the cartridge you want, as there is no "inherently accurate" cartridge.

It's going to be down to your loading practices, action, barrel, and your shooting ability.

One of the most accurate weapons out there is the 16 inch gun on an Iowa class battleship.
And there's no cartridge involved.

I can't answer which between the two in question is most accurate but I can assure you there is a reason the .284 Winchester and improved versions dominate fclass. A little hint, it is not because of a high school popularity contest. I have had one SAUM and one Max. They are both easy to tune but they are just hunting rifles not rifles expected to shoot small for a 100 rounds at a time. I do think the max has enough extra capacity to allow running slower powders.
