I have done the big one too. Its more in the 28 Nosler category. Big 7mms like that are very specialized imo. Hunting rounds not meant to be shot a lot. The throat's move fast on big 7s.

The point of the 7-6.5 PRC was something Jay Christopherson and I worked on about 2 years back. He wanted to find something to beat the 284 in F Open. I have never really like the 284 case design but the capacity is good. I didn't want to increase case capacity much over the 284, which is why I didn't do the saum or improve the prc case. The 7-6.5 PRC is what I came up with with the same mods as the 284 Wheeler. It will run the Shehane node, 2930 ish. Lapua makes brass and it will last forever at that node. Feedback has been very promising so far. F class guys are a little more tight lipped about what they are up to but I expect you will start to see a lot more of these out there.

Well after the last fclass match this weekend I know of 2 people forsure and myself that have reamers ordered for the 7-65prc . I think it will do very well I just wish the neck was a little longer. No reason just personal preference. H4350, rl16,h4831sc, and rl23 will work very well in this new cartridge for fclass.

What ever your preference is , I order a reamer with 4 tho neck clearance and fireform all my brass then skim 1 tho off for 5 tho total clearance for match brass.

I'm going down a similar path, albeit tweaking the 7-6.5 PRC standard reamer spec.
