OK, I have a short throat 6XC,oal around 2.670). I have a Tikka 595 with 3' mag length. Is it worth it to cut my throat .100' longer or just shoot it and let it get there the old fashioned way - put lots of rounds down range. Would I see an appreciable increase in velocity or not? With summer-type temps I'm down to 37 gr. of Reloader 17 - was up to 39 but at 55 deg. ambiant.
