ThanksIf your shooting 105-107 class bullets, you should have a low node in the range of 38.5gr of H4350. High nodes and ones I shoot at 1K are in the 39.5gr range (give or take a couple tenths). I currently have 4 - 6XC's and each loads are 39.6,39.5,39.7 and 39.4. I've had two others that were at 39.6 & 39.8 shooting 107 Match Kings. All were winning barrels, 1-8 twist and all had lower accuracy nodes about 1 grain less. The lowest (39.4) is a .237 bore, the others are .236 bore
38.5 would do well at short range (under 500), but will fall apart at 1000.
I haven't, only because my bench guns were built for the 1000 yard game. Lighter bullets wouldn't serve me well in that discipline. I have shot several of my guns in local 100-600 yard matches, just to try. Very large 10 rings, I think they used IBS 300 targets and I shot clean scores and won those matches. Local "fun" matches and I was one of those "custom" gun guys, lol. Not for me, but obviously my tuned 1K load is going to work at those distances. It's a bit overkill in that crowd. Thanks
I'm looking for a low node and you have one. I simply don't need velocity for 200.
Have you tried any lighter bullets?

I'm sure someone on here that uses the XC for hunting critters would have a load for lighter bullets. Walt may have pointed you in the right direction, if you want to use a 68-70 grain class bullet. I have no data outside 105-115gr bullets for my style of shooting.
ThanksI've shot 68, 70, 75, 80, and 85gr bullets from 9, 10, & 12tw 6xc's. From my experience 4895 is Ok, R15 is surprisingly good as is R16. 4064 is very good as well. About the only one I've tried that was so so was 4320.
Accuracy out of the 10 & 12 tw with the 80gr Sierra Blitz bullet and the 85gr Sierra HPBT was really good with 4064, R16 and WW760. I agree with the other posters on H4350 is a great powder for the 6xc and may be the best choice if you are shooting a 7-8tw but I have no experience with the lighter bullets from an 8tw. WD
