What is your best 6xc loads?

My main coyote rig is a 26" Rock 8 twist. Currently shooting 107SMK moly until they are gone then will go back to naked cause I have a bunch. . BR2 with 40gr of H4350 seated .020 off. Velocity is just a tad over 3000fps. Win formed brass until I get rid of everything I have fire formed then will use Norma. SD runs 8fps.

Brother runs a Krieger 8 twist and 105 Bergers. Believe he is 40gr of RL17 @ around 3160fps and Norma brass.

For giggles I chambered up a Douglas 12 twist stainless @ 26" with a reamer I had with .050FB and .268nk just to see what velocity I could get. Went to 43gr of H4350, BR2 and 70TNT in a fire formed Win case. Accuracy was great and velocity was 3460fps from that lil turd case. Had a hard time getting 3500fps wothout pressure from a 6mm I had built with a 10tw Shilen @ 26" with either 70TNT or BT.

I am a big fan of the XC.

My two 6xc's seem to be very happy with 105 berger VLD's and RL22, with primers just starting to crater on warm days at a little over 3,000fps. One is a Savage model 12 rechambered from 6br to 6xc with the factory barrel (a solid bottom single shot), the other is a 700 clone (AMT ss480), single shot solid bottom as well. I use the same scope setup on each of them, 6-32 Sightron SIII's two scopes which work great. Both are great fun shooting out to 1,000 yards at the Perry City Utah range They are both chambered with the same reamer, which I bought.

For coyotes my Blaser barrel builder made me up a 20" Krieger 8 twist barrel, running 70gr BlitzKings over 38gr of VV N150, Norma brass, and Federal 215m primers. The first group ran sub .455" for five at 100 yards. I'll post photos soon of the Blaser R93 and suppressor. Hopefully it will tag a few woodchucks this summer.

Something different:
6xc Alpha Brass
RL26 42gn.
110 Sierra Match King
Fed 205m
3090 fps. average
26” Krieger 7twist, 4 groove, .237 bore
Thunderbeast Ultra9 BA
Curtis Axiom,
KRG X-Ray

Shoots under .3” from a Farley front rest and Lenzi rear bag.

I’m happy...

This may be heresy but 39.0 of ramshot hunter with whatever bullet I can get 70-107 gr. I started using the ramshot for fireforming and it was good enough for across the course I just decided to spend more time practicing than hanging out at the loading bench. 107 smk, 70 nosler bts or 87 vmax all seem to work. The pic is 107 sierra, rem 9 1/2 and brass made from lake city 308 at 600 yards with a sling and irons loaded on a progressive.

someone has mentioned the Ramshot Hunter. I have used it and it shot well. The H4350 has shot very well.
My favorite is 40.0-40.5 RL17, CCI BR2, Norma brass, Berger 105 HVLD. like .020-.030 off. 26" Pac Nor SSM
1-8 T. I get 3,150 FPS and 1/2 moa to under if I do my part.
Now warm weather I had some Bug Holes with RL26 at 200 Yards and Berger 115's in a 1-7 Twist.. SO the 26 has been super accurate in warmer weather.
I think is kind of hard to find something that wont shoot well in the XC. I guess when I wanted BR accuracy I used annealed necks, match weight cases. ect ect. H4350 has gave me many .300" groups at 200 Yards. But I mainly shoot RL17 in mine throat at 1,500 rounds or a few more is like new. I actually read somewhere where testing showed RL17 was easier on barrels than most other powder and they explained why but I dont remember where I read it.

I've been using H4350 and R-16 with the 105 class bullets. 40-41.5gr of either powder has been providing excellent accuracy and velocities over 3000fps.

I have also used 4831sc in a 6XC and it shot very well. I believe that I was using somewhere around 41.0-42.0 GR with a 105 GR Bullet and Norma brass.

1/8 Wilson 26” on a Tubb 2000 sling.

37.5 H4350, 105 hybrid, Norma case and a br2. I started and stopped there with load development. It shoots well inside the Xring on our 600 yd targets.

I know it might be herercy but when the 4350 powder crunch came I found AA-4350 at a good price so I gave it a try.
30” Bartline 1/8, fireformed Lapua 22/250 brass, Federal 210 LR primer, 40.5 grs AA-4350 pushing Moly 107 SMK’s at 3,000 FPS. Made HM in midrange F Open with this load.

Usual disclaimer. Reduce starting load and work up.

As is very evident in this thread the 6XC likes H 4350, can’t go wrong using it. I shoot it in all 4 of my 6,s but with the heavier 115 gr DTAC and Berger VLD’s I’ve had good results with H 4831 SC and RL 26. I have a 6XC. Bought from a member and strictly use it for hunting and with 115 VLD’s. I’m pleased with the RL26. A little over 3,000 FPS , pretty hard to beat.
