6x47 lapua hunting loads

Starting to work uploads for 105 amax or vld - 22" 8 twist barrel. Looking for suggestions on loads. All help will be appreciated.

105 vld's have killed plenty of deer and hogs for me with mine. I have a 7.5 twist, so my load should be more than fine in ur 8 twist regarding pressure. I use 39.0gr of H4350 on Berger 105vld. I started to have brass issues at 40.5-41gr of h4350. Also you could run 38.5 of h4831sc but will be on the slow side but accurate.

I have a 10 twist so have not tried the VLD's but have used both the Speer 85 grain Hot Core and the Speer 105 grain Hot Core bullets with H4350 to kill 5 antelope, all one shot kills. The 85 grain bullet is just plain awesome in my opinion with virtually no meat damage at 6x47 velocities. Tom

90 gr Barnes or 90 gr Scirocco, N550, CCI primers in 1:8 barrel.
Accuracy down a little from Berger bullets but not enough to effect use for hunting out to 300- 400 yds.

+1 on the 105 VLD. I run 39.2 out of a 26" barrel.38.9 to 39.6 is the range you'd look for most likely. Remember to use the Berger best practice of moving it .01 in four increments. At the lands, jammed, back .01 and back .02. You can even do .015.
