6X scope

I use a 6X scope primarily for hunting and find myself too lazy to change up to a higher power scope to test new loads and I don't want to swap scopes and have to return to zero for the current load. The question is, what size 5-shot groups do folks call "good" at 100 and 200 yards with a 6X scope?

thanks

6X shouldn't be a handicap at those ranges. Use MS Paint or similar S/W and make your targets fit your scope reticule at desired range. I prefer black outline/white centered squared, or even-sided, diamonds with the center dimension just slightly larger than the cross hair intersection. I find that to make my eye center the bull similar to a rear aperture sight. Make the outline bold enough to see but not so large as to hide bullet holes with it, unless you are going to hit the center every time! Of course each range will require a different size bull however once your 100 yd. is determined you can multiply the dimension for greater distances but remember your outline must increase also to maintain the sight picture. Aim small, miss small.
