Yes it is!I realize this is an old post but I'm curious, is the 6mm Predator the same as the 6mm Grendel?
I’d be interested to know some details on that 112gr Barnes load. We’re they mag length? What charge did you work to?Unfortunately, between the extended delivery time on my 1:7 twist barrel, miserable weather and getting a house remodeled, I have not had the time to work up a 6mm Grendel/AR/Predator/LBC load for the 1000 yard AR Tactical match at Perry this year. The rules (simplified) state a 20" barrel, 15X max scope off a bipod & rear bag. I am encouraged by the initial performance of the 112 grain Barnes Match Burner ahead of a reasonable load of CFE223 though. Maybe next year.
In that the rules require single loading, I am .020" off the lands, substantially beyond mag length. Still playing with length. I am currently at 28.5 grains of CFE223 at a little over 2500 fps. I should remain comfortably supersonic at 1000. Probably won't be able to work further until the fall.I’d be interested to know some details on that 112gr Barnes load. We’re they mag length? Are you using a bolt gun? Or an AR?Just remember that his loads are quite hot. My maximum is a full grain less.
