X's matter....but 10s win (but damn, Xs feel good)
When I spoke to Dave last year, he guided me to the .2704" neck reamer with the .104" FB. It shot beautifully right off the bat and nearly no load work was needed. But, I ran it hard at the upper velocity node and the throat went after 1,400rds.
I just had the Bartlein set back an inch and rechambered and it's back to shooting .2s.
It continued to shoot well with the FB increasing while I kept an eye on the throat. I am now running at a lower node (2,955fps) and have a new Douglas tube on hand for when this one goes south again.
