6mm dasher freebore for 105 bergers

When I spoke to Dave last year, he guided me to the .2704" neck reamer with the .104" FB. It shot beautifully right off the bat and nearly no load work was needed. But, I ran it hard at the upper velocity node and the throat went after 1,400rds.
I just had the Bartlein set back an inch and rechambered and it's back to shooting .2s.

It continued to shoot well with the FB increasing while I kept an eye on the throat. I am now running at a lower node (2,955fps) and have a new Douglas tube on hand for when this one goes south again.

I shoot 105Hybrids exclusively.

I find anything short of .135 free bore puts the heel of the boat tail inside the shoulder neck area with the new 105H Berger. If you jump them it is worse. The length of this bullet a lot longer than the old VLD and almost as long as the 115 DTAC. I can't see how the short free bore length of .104 -.124 can work anymore with these bullets...... jim

Your neck tension varies due to the heel of the boat tail hitting the shoulder, neck area. When you see the gage rise then spike when it seats
the longer bullets. It doesn't work, pressure goes out of site, but your happy with it go for it. If you want to shoot small keep the boat tail above that area...... jim
