6MM Creed" Boolits for deer

Here in the South, my family has killed a LOT of deer and hogs with the 100g Hornady btsp, not a boutique bullet, but it just works. One cousin shoots nothing but a Hornady 95g SST in his 243 Axis.

You know that shot placement is key, and shoot them through the shoulders if you do not want Runners.

I grew up hunting overgrown clear cuts in north Louisiana. The old timers taught us to use the high shoulder shot so as to not have to track. I once dropped six in a row with a 30/30 and not one of them stepped out of its tracks.

Not much difference in the velocity between your old 243 and 6CM so whatever worked in the 243 will kill just as well in the CM.
I've used the 95 grain ballistic tips for quite a few deer and they work great, Tried the 80 grain Barnes TTSX last year and I'll probably shoot them a lot more in the future.

I have shot 2 deer in the last couple of years. Using 105g A Max out of my 6 CM. No complaints both dropped within sight and are very accurate out of my setup.
Farthest being 200 yrd the other was 60, no exits, internals a soupy mess.

I would get the new 80gr Tipped Hammer Hunter and be done with it. HHs are crazy accurate.

This 80gr TTSX (243Win @ 3400fps) took my last blacktail buck at 300 yards, quartering away, bullet penetrated the near side lung, severed the spine, and lodged just under the skin on the far side neck. Dead instantly. Picture perfect.
