Coyote vs 6 Creed

Did a little coyote hunting this morning on a buddy's farm. Seen this little guy bedded down in some grass at 275 yards. He thought he was hidden and wouldn't get up. All I could see was his head. Got the 6 Creed all set up, dialed 2.5 MOA, cranked the MK4 up to 25x and let a handloaded 108g ELDM fly! She's a thing of beauty!!!

I have never been able to try mine at that far of a range. When i tested my 6cm with 108s all shots were with in 100 yards. Most 50 yards. Really tore them yotes open. I put it aside for coyotes. Love the cartridge though

Yah, I don't care about the hides. They're not worth anything anyway. Just doing my part to help out the critters I actually like to eat...The 108g ELDMs are a great dual purpose target/hunting bullet. I've only shot a few with it since had the rifle built between 2-400 yards, but it always leaves a baseball size exit hole so far. Works for me!

Ive got some nasty pictures of what it did to them. I dont keep hides eather, just prefer instant death. Im playing with a 20 practical this winter. So far them 40gr vmax is a devastating explosive bullet also on them. Wacks the heck out of them. Ones in my areas are skinny suckers.

Your 6CM is almost a brother from another mother to my 6-284. ;)

While I don't have a 6CM, I've put together a half dozen 6x47 Lapuas, & this is the only one that doesn't like 105 Bergers, but just loves the 108 ELD-M's at 3000 out of the 18" Krieger.

Sadly it's a virgin in the kill department, but the results shown above are encouraging.

That speed from a 18” ????? I might need one

I was surprised too. It was a 25" Krieger that I had cut back to 18" & threaded for a can. I don't have the original speed in front of me, but it didn't lose near the velocity most claim.

I also have a 18" Bartlein that runs the 105 Bergers at 3K as well, so it's not a fluke.

That’s alright in my book.

I'm almost ashamed to say the speeds I get from the 27" BRUX with Peterson brass/H4350/108s...Definitely not as fast as I had thought or hoped when I had it built, just put it that way haha. I was hoping for 3150-3200. But most of that has to do with the tight bored BRUX and heavy Peterson brass. I can only run it up to 3100 before I start seeing pressure, and popped 2 primers at 3150 during initial ladder testing. So I shoot it at 3050fps with 40.2g H4350 now and just leave it. Shoots 3/8-1/2 MOA every time so just is what it is.
