6mm Cartridge

By long range to me, I'm wanting a 6mm cartridge that is capable of reaching out to 600-yards minimum with complete accuracy and entertaining terminal ballistics on rock chuck and coyotes.
6BR with 103’s-107’s… if you want to eat a bunny than you better make a “Head Shot” because a body shot looks like an impact on a red paint filled water ballon…
6BR at 600 is always in the competition for great groups and winning scores as well as being the “Easy Button” to load for and has general availability, low operation cost and good barrel life.
Whichever 6 you choose, and there many options to make life easier now that you can have “off the shelf” ready to load 6PPC, 6BRAI, 6GT, 6XC without having to do a lot of prep work that some of those cartridges used to require.

Another 6BRAi fan here. my prone sling rifle I run 105 -107's Varget at first but on H4895 currently since my Varget ran dry.
Love me some 6BRAi Not really fast load but i am about 2894 with the 107 SMK 30.6 H4895 several times fired Lapua brass jumping 20thou
PS I am sling shooter at Midrange and Longrange.

I have shot a 6XC, man that thing was a laser in a Elisio
I hear you about the Elisio, I have an R5 in 6BR that just drops those jumped 20k 107’s into the X ring with Varget, 450’s, Peterson brass, 28” Benchmark 1:8
I am considering a 6GT next barrel but for now it is giving me the occasional clean up to 600 and will go well at a K but conditions need to be good to compete against the 7’s but it can be done

Firedog has listed most, but forgot the new 6ARC (aka 6mm Grendel). The 6ARC is the only one that you can buy factory ammo at LGS.
6ARC = long throated 6PPC

Can you rechamber from 6CM to 6GT?
Cut a couple of threads off and that should do it… I’m guessing but advice from a gunsmith would be what you want… The 6GT will reward you with longer barrel life and still feed nicely from a magazine.
Bit more horse power than a Dasher without the feeding issues… Bit less than the 6CM.

You're doing it kinda ass backwards.....

Pick the bullet(s) you want to shoot, at the velocity you want, and pick the cartridge to shoot it at with sane pressures. Barrel life is kind of secondary in a chuck/coyote rifle.

On the low end is the 6BR, next step up is the 6 Dasher, then 6 GT, then 6x47 Lapua, and onward/upward.

To me, a chuck rifle is different than a coyote rifle......
