6mm BRX

I have fireformed 3x at matches with my bra. Won 2 of them with 1199-76x and 1199-77x by simply using an old accuracy load for my 6br. ff loads were shooting in the high 1’s-low 2’s. Good enough for midrange f class- but maybe not for br....
You did well, congratulations. Have a good season.

BRX, Dasher, BRDX all move the shoulder forward. That requires hydro-forming or fire-forming to create the new Shoulder.

With the BRA you just load the original 6mmbr brass, put it in the BRA chamber and you are done. Some guys will do that during a match, so there is no lost barrel life.
I shoot a Br. Imp. and I fire form in the new barrel while breaking it in. It takes an average of a a 100 rounds till the velocity gets uniform. I have a Brux right now that will not settle down at 140 rds and a Bartlein that did at 60 rds...... jim

BRX is up and running. Had a Rem-age 6mm Br barrel and ran my 22BR reamer in the chamber to move the shoulder forward after making a bushing for the pilot for the 6mm bore.. Now, if I could just find my 6mm BR Lapua brass!!! Had to use some old 7mm Rem BR brass to fireform. Made for some short necks!! Fireformed about 20 rounds with H380 and a 85gr BTSP. Now to see how it performs.

Update--this thing is shooting better as a BRX than it did as a BR. A few groups in the high 3's/low 4's.. Before, lucky to go 3/4"
