6mm brx dies

if you read the 6mm br improved page your question is answered. standard 6mmbr dies will work. but a different reamer is used on the barrel. all the info pages are laid out great with alot of questions answered, good starting loads, etc. hope this helps, cliffe

You can also send the reamer's drawing to Hornady and they will make a custom sizing die. The Redding 6BR dies work great for me.

Standard Redding 6BR dies are used, but that is not the full story. Many times I feel short answers here are misleading and don't tell the whole story. 6BR dies will work, but if you are running in the upper pressure regions with this case, you will need a die to size the full length of the case. Standard 6BR dies will not do that. I use a Redding .308 body die from a set of competition dies I already had. There are other ways to do this, but this was most convenient and cost effective since I had the other die. You can have custom dies made, which may be a little more expensive, but I have heard no one complain about the results. You get what you pay for. I have heard people post that they do not need to FL size the whole case body. I chose a 6BRX to get the extra velocity over a standard 6BR. For me that means running at the higher end of the pressure curve, or why waste your time with a wildcat, shoot a standard 6BR. I like my cartridges to load and extract with minimal effort. FL sizing with the body die ensures that for me. Sorry for the long ramble.

+1 for Ed. I also use a 308 sizing die minus the de-caping spindle. I also just got a Hornady die that de-caps, uses a bushing to neck size and bumps the shoulder.
