6mm BR

I have a 6mm BR brux 4 groove 12 twist that i just got and was wondering where to start with bullets and powder. it has a .264 neck and .080 freebore. I would think 70-80 gr bullets would be best for the twist???

Sounds like you are setting up for shorter distance shooting and will have a tight neck. Not sure what powders you have available (due to the shortage and all) but I'd test using VVN133, VVN135 or even Varget, H335, IMR8208 if you couldn't get the VV powders. For starters and to be safe, I'd seat to just touching the land, with a load of 29 gr+ (VV powders) and working my way up, changing only the gr load and shoot three groups of three. Once you've found consistent accuracy and group size, then I'd work on the seating depth. Just my thoughts.

My 12 tw I like 70gr Sierria Blitzkings with N135, My current 12, likes 87gr. Vmax and Varget, great long range round.

Try IMR 8208 XBR, H4895, Varget and Reloader 15. I shoot those in a 10 twist straight 6 BR pushing a 87 gr Hunting VLD and a 90 gr Match BT. Both bullets by Betger. I don't think your 12 twist will stabilize either. Just including them for context.

I really like the XBR. It is small grained. Flows through my ChargeMaster like water. I've had good luck with the others. Varget is hard to beat, all around.

If you are on the 70 gr end versus the 80+ end! you might like N-133, LT-32, H322 and the like. I continue to shoot the XBR in that weight range. That's one of the reasons that I like it so well. With 16 more pounds of LT-32 on the way, though, I might change my ways.
