Barrel rifling options

6mm barrel what options would be best for a 6 BR shooting 105-107 bullets. Heres what I can get.
1-7 twist with 5R groove or 6 groove
1-7.7 twist with 3 groove or 3R groove
1-8 twist with 3 groove or 3R groove or 6 groove

I know the faster twist will allow me to try the 110-115 bullets but will still shoot the 105-107's

Firstly, the 6mm BR is not the optimal cartridge to shoot 115 gr. bullets, so lets discuss 103-108 gr. target type bullets ?.?.
A 1-8" twist conventionally rifled barrel would be my choice. - I don't understand why a 4 groove is not mentioned ? Virtually every barrel maker does a 4 groove barrel. - That would be my first choice......
So, based on what you've listed above I'd go with a 3 groove or 6 groove for a 6mm. - I don't see an upside to paying extra for a 5R or 3R barrel in 6mm. -

1:8 4groove is very popular, but from the choices you have listed I’d stick with the 8tw..

I have an 8” twist krieger .236 bore 5R in my 6BR. Shoos lights out, but if I could change one thing, I would want a 7” twist to shoot 110 class bullets

I’m with LA50shooter on this one. If you want to shoot the heavy 110gr or more bullets I’d go for one of the improved 6BR’s or a 6XC with a 7 - 7 1/2 twist.

I have a BRX in a 7 twist but it still shoots the 107's better than the 110's. I'm only looking to get a standby barrel to have on hand. I like to experiment with new things so I was looking at a few different companies to get one from but came across this selection of rifling options and didn't know which one would be best? I think they also have a 5R available for the 1-8 twist that would probably be the best option.

Who makes 3 groove 3R barrels? Is the land profile the same as the 5R?

I shoot a 6 groove, 8 twister. No complaints.
Was shooting 105 Hybrid real good . I just worked up a load for the 107 Sierras. Even better!
