6mm br remington case in a 6mm br lapua chamber

not sure if this was ansered but if you take the remington case and place it inthe bolt face and seat a bullet into rifleling so it baseicly clears the chamber on firering and expands to fill chamber would you cause a problun doing this.just askingi

Depends on the Remington case length. I have some 1.520 and some 1.56", the length of the lapua case. If the short case, I would think you might get a little blowby on the neck as not much bullet might be in the case, not to mention carboning up the .040" neck area the short neck doesn't cover

You would simply end up with a BRA case with a too short of a neck.
The BR Remington will still headspace on the shoulder on the initial firing, so nothing weird will happen.

Do keep in mind, the original Remington cases measure on average about .0025 smaller at the web than the Lapua 6BR Norma.
