6mm BR reamer JGS-1262

I'm going to give them a try, just ordered two boxes of 50 from Graf's. I'll torture test a few pieces to see how long the primer pockets will hold up. Been wanting to do this for some time now and this is a good time to try them out.
Do keep us posted.

Lapua 6BR brass (2022) out of the box with a Berger 108 @ pressure ring; OD measures .269.
My best shooting 6BR has a .2435 FB diameter, .272 neck, no neck taper.
disclaimer: fwiw it is my best shooting 6BR by default cause it's the only 6BR reamer I have ever used. :)
What is the FB in your improved BR?

I'm in need of a new 6mm BR reamer. Looking for a no turn this time around and was just wondering if anyone shoots this JGS 1262 CIP reamer and what they think of it? I don't see anything out of the norm that looks bad about it except the .001 tapered neck. View attachment 1462510
That chamber has been a winner for me and now on second barrel with it.
I compete in F Open even against the 7mm's and have taken out club class for the year...
It has let me shoot a 200.14 at 600yds and regular sub 3.5" at 300 meters.
Peterson brass, CCI 450's, 29.3gr AR2208 {Varget} and 103's Hbn coated & .007" jam.
That bullet weight seems to be a perfect weight for the caliber though have previously used 107 Sierras {the 103 are made with Sierra jackets}, never could get various types of 105 and 108 Berger's to perform.... All out of a Benchmark 28" 1:8T barrel on an Eliseo R5 chassis.

My newest 6bra is 160 fb. Which is ideal for 105-115. There is no downside to a bit of extra freebore in a 6br.

A Dasher is typically AT LEAST 140 fb (usually more) and people marvel at how they shoot, but people freak out at a 140 plus 6br.

I decided on 160 fb because the 6xc Tubb is 160, and we have found that to be ideal for 105ish bullets. The 6xc has the same neck as a 6br... The 6gt also has the same neck and I think it's 140 fb also.

I find no annealing necessary with longer freebore as the donut and increasing stiffness has very little effect. Not to mention a bit of case capacity never hurts.

Nice comparisons of bullets and the .160 FB. I have a A.W. #1 .272nk BRA reamer with .104fb that works well with 80's to 103's. the JGS 1262 has a .094 and may play better with the 68's and work with the 103's.

It's good to hear this standard JGS 1262 reamer is working well for you and on two barrels.
