6mm arc bolt gun build

I know 6br is the easy button and im prob gonna get some "why when theres better 6mm's then 6arc". Im looking to do a bolt gun i can grab factory ammo for and just go shoot when i dont have time to reload before the weekend or just want to practice. Whats consensus on what freebore/reamer is best for your 100-108 6mm match bullets in 6arc? Gonna do a rem700 clone with ppc bolt face and hopefully just run hornady 105 or 108 factory ammo. There is potentional for me to eventually reload after i get a good pile of brass but mainly its gonna be factory ammo. Thanks for any wisdom or insite. Brent

Not truly a build but I just acquired a Savage Switchback in 6ARC. It is now already sitting in a Boyd's At-One Thumbhole stock with an Athlon Argos 8-34X56 optic on it. Intention is to use this as a short to mid range target rifle, not a hunting rifle. .

Thats what i was thinking but seems like everyone is different on there freebore ...was curious if one was better then the other?
SAAMI reamers are already specd for heavyweight bullets. If you have a specific bullet you plan to use, then best idea is to load some dummy rounds and take measurements or call JGS and send the dummies in with your order and he'll make what you need.

If you plan on testing various heavy 6mm bullets, then I would probable just go with SAAMI freebore.

Have you seen or check out the two to three models that Howa has out now in 6 ARC ? The Howas shoot really well out of the box.
Yeah i have seen the howa offerings...still thinking rem 700 clone so i can pop barreled action into my chassis i have. Thinking backup/practice/lazy and dont want to reload prs gun haha.

I was thinking saami spec would be fine but seems like everyone is a little different on there freebore ...was curious if one was better then the other? Manson says .0899 is saami. Ptg specs there standard reamers at .094. Alpha has a .091. Idk what to think....

.005" difference from .0899" SAAMI to the longer .094" PTG freebore won't make a difference. I would go with the shorter SAAMI reamer then by the time the barrel is broke in, you'll have about .005" extra freebore anyway

For what it is worth, Should you be wanting to acquire brass. I am of the opinion Starline may be the way to go.
My experience is Hornady is all over the map with there brass weight. Think I have experienced as much as 6 grains difference with Hornady brass. With Starline think everything has been less than 2 grains variation.

I have seen good things with Hornady cmm Creedmoor accuracy with factory offerings. Not so much with Hornady 6mm Arc in my experience. With the right custom barrel your milage may vary.

If you're worried about quality and consistency, just get Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass and run it in your 6mm ARC FL die. Done.

From my readings i think lapua grendel brass isnt really that great for what you spend on it but its pretty much near impossible to get anyway now...not to worried being i hope to use the build as a 99% factory ammo gun anyway. Between whats offered now for factory ammo i should be good to go finding a good factory load!

I had Patriot Valley Arms do a prefit for my Bighorn TL3 action and put in the right bolt face and it shoots factory Hornady 108 ELD-M ammo great. Have shot it to 1000 yards on my local range and plan to bring it to it's first match the end of this month. Not sure which reamer they use but it works. I also use the MDT 6 ARC magazines and they feed perfectly if you were going to use a magazine fed bolt gun.
