I only own a Sporter, so that was shot with a 10.5 # 6mm PPC. I am not that great a shooter and on that day, I must give a lot of credit to Jack Neary. I loaded next to Jack and he unselfishly advised me on changing my loads as the conditions changed. Modifying my load during a match is a very weak spot for me and without Jack's advice, I would probably have adjusted my load "bassackwards". The following year at Midland, I finished second in Sporter 200 (to JTIII) with the same rifle and same barrel. That seemed to be a magical barrel and one hates to see it die. Good shooting....James

3 years ago when I started chambering the 6BRAckley and started to push it and tell guys it would out agg the dasher I got nothing but crap on this site for it. All I can say is that I am not surprised in the least about the records falling like they have. Next year should be even better

OH You aren’t the only one brother! I’m the guy that was crazy enough to say the Dasher was overbore and flipped shots! Several had meltdowns over that! I’ll take a 6BR or 6BRA over a Dasher any day.

Nothing to do with being the only one at all. I have always made sure to give credit to the guys doing it before me. I have said a bunch of times I have nothing to do with the cases creation. But the internet would be a much more valuable resource if people would have a little first hand experience with something before they form opinions! LOL

BRA just wasn’t in the stars for you....
The caliber is sound, something is probably askew in your system. Or you could have been unlucky and gotten a couple of dud barrels.

Not uncommon for people to get "crap" for saying anything new. Sadly... Sometimes it is like watching members of a cult when you challenge their doctrine. People can become very invested in their "stuff", and I find it funny that the Dasher replaced something... but the Dasher will never be replaced? It is just silly.

Same for me, my new H4895 is Lot#7086. Speeds are as follows,
30.0= 2946
30.2= 2979
30.4= 2985
30.6= 3005
31.1= 3041
The old lot#5517 was at 2952 with 30.6

Good to know, I have 16 pounds of 7076 waiting on a new bra!
Those velocities were recorded with only one shot over a Magnetospeed.
Tonight I ran 5 at29.8 over my Magnetospeed and the 5 shots with a 103VT seated .010 in the lands averaged 2961.
Nah systems where good.. Could unscrew barrel go back to 6BRX and it was great, tried 2x 6BRX barrels in it..
I should give Rushty my 2 lots of powder to try and see if it was the powder. I just had my 2nd 6BRA barrel (700 rounds on it) cut an inch off and rechambered to 6BRX and am testing that to see if it has same problems.
But I still want to give the 6BRA another go as they do shoot and seen it.
