I’m really putting some faith in swapping my firing pin assembly in my neuvo. That assembly only had roughly 2000-2500 rounds on it though. So we will see what happens. Looking to get out Tuesday after we get home from Vegas Monday evening and then I’ll have the upcoming weekend to test as well.

Justin, is the Vegas trip work or pleasure ?

pleasure this time lol. I was at SHOT show with Brunos shooter supply. Amy and Paul are good friends of mine, and they were gracious enough to take the wife and I back to SHOT show again.

I’ve had a few 8lbers set back lol. Also bought 6 pounds of it from bass pro about two months ago lol

Just started playing with this. N135 was dead nuts on same velocity as the same weight of H4895 with a Berger 105 hybrid. I need to run a jump test to confirm accuracy but I would not kick it out of bed for eating crackers using the 0.010” off I am tuned with the H4895.

Have you tested any further? Trying to decide between 135 and 140 for my 105-112grains.

not yet but I did some work in a .223 with heavy bullets ( 80-90gr) and had similar velocity with same amount of H4895 in that rifle too.

I’ve got it working pretty good at 600. Going to have to final tune at 1000 but I’m happy. This is cold bore and 3 follow ups at 600 last Friday. Will be able to report back this Friday for a final 1000 tune hopefully

All else equal, I tend to lean toward a faster powder when I can. Only reason is lower muzzle pressure. Probably all between my ears but you can literally feel the difference in recoil on some guns. Same bullet, same speed and all..the faster powder will generate a bit less recoil. If I can feel it, I have to think the bullet does too. Again, probably more between my ears than anything to get hung up about.

No and pressure curve is the main thing because even at the same muzzle velocity, it does not likely have the same in bore time...which is what tuning is all about.

I recently switched from N135 to N140 for the Berger 95gr. VLD's. Likewise, I moved from N140 to N150 for the 115 VLD's. In both cases i was able to find a nice node and seating depth brought it to one-hole accuracy at 100 yards.

Still trying to finalize a load for some 87 grain VLD's. Going back and forth between N135 and N140 but haven't found the right load yet.

FYI: I'm shooting regular 6BR with a 26" 1:7.5 twist barrel. I shoot metallic silhouette, so anything 1/2 MOA or under is good enough, but I'm enjoying the process to find these really good loads. One of these days I'll try them out at one of our club's F-class matches, just to see how I do.

I would lean toward n140 with the heavies first but n135 is certainly worth trying too. Maybe they'll both shoot in your gun.

Tried 29.0 -2837, 29.2 2852, 29,4-2888 fps,just shot 1 of each Wednesday. .272 neck w/ .104 freebore 30 " Palma, 105 gr Hornady HPBT Match. No pressure signs.29.5,29.7,29.9 next time

Tried 30.0 grains N135 today, Peterson brass x5 ,Rem 7 1/2, 104.8 gr Match BurnerView attachment 1538845. was checking BTO,throat has moved .030 in 2300 rounds,will retry 1.746 BTO again, my bipod moved

It's not slower IME.

Have tried it in 6BRA, 105 grain bullets 29 grain got 2840 fps,29 of H-4895 got 2900 fps,31 HV Palma .104 freebore .30 N-135 was 2895 fps,going to try 30.2.30.4,30.6

More N-135 testing, been having blurred eye/ bipod problems lately, groups Should be better. trying different BTO's different weights. N-135 has been single digit SD's & low ES swings.Have Not seen any pressure signs.1st picture Heavy Palma .135 throat .272 no turn neck, 2nd heavy Palma .104 throat.

Dont overlook 8208 in a 6Br or a 6BRA. It worked for me.
