Kicking around building a 6BR improved. Haven’t had any luck finding dies or load data. I’d like to shoot the heavier slugs. Any info would be appreciated. I’d even entertain other 6BR parent case.

Well you could shoot my br improved dies are not really a problem an you don't have to change shoulder angle on a inherently accurate case.
Looks like a brx... the bra changes the shoulder angle and keeps the long neck. Need new dies for that. The brx works with backed off br dies.

Well if we can get some decent weather I will let you know I don't foresee a problem though at all, Its what I will be shooting in light gun at 600 an 1000yds this year.
Yes it does but a lot shorter at shoulder junction.
A lot? .004" for most....
Here is a pic to shoulder junction a straight6mmbr is 1.074 length at shoulder mine is 1.124 there about.

Building BRX myself, same dies as6Br, as you mentioned. Ballistics good, same shoulder as BR.
Pondered the same thing; BRX uses same dies as 6br so that's my own choice

I have had 6mmBRBS, it was a longer body, shorter neck Dasher. I have had 5 BRX's, and 4 6BR, all shot very well. All of the IMP's will give you a little more speed. The best speed to run the IMP's with heavy bullets is 2975 F/S, that is where the 6AI is running.
The IMP's have to be fireformed and have higher cost dies. The BRX can be loaded with BR dies, but you will need a F/L die sooner or later.
Try a 6mmBR.

You can until you start getting bolt click then you'll have to either buy a FL die or but them in a body die to size the web. Trust me, I fought that battle...as others on here have.
Not a thing wrong with the brx, I've still got one...but to say you can't use a straight br die isn't completely accurate unless you don't mind fighting the bolt click.
@tom - I got shrinkage just looking at that picture
. I bet it's beautiful in the summer...but I don't care for the white stuff.

Here's the upper node at 1k the other day, but I wouldn't recommend it.There are other powders that are more "velocity" powders. I'll stick with what 4895 gives me at the middle node.
