Send three fired cases to Harrells and get a custom die for less than you can buy a off the shelf die from Redding or other makers. The best part if you don't like what it does he will replace it with one that does…….. jim

I use Harrells dies and am very satisfied with them but I am not sure if you can call them custom dies. It is my understanding that they take the 3 cases you send them and they match them up as close as possible to various dies they have machined in your particular caliber to give you a die that is very close to if not exactly the one you need. They are extremely accurate for the price.

That's correct. They take your fired case and slide it in the die and give it a slight tap with a finger and then measure how much of the case is out. There's about 3 different ranges of measure it can fall within and that determines what number die they choose.

Sure they may have tried that, but Whidden sends them back with the dies.

Harrell makes a good a die as there is no wait an cases come back good an strait I use wilson seaters

Thanks for all the replies and advice, I have ordered a set of Whidden bushing dies.

I also just received a set of Whidden dies along with their case gauge in the mail (fast, great service).
