6br build

I'd rather side on the faster twist than slower. (12 tw)
Alt. is 750 ft.
My close home range is in an old gravel pit.
Not much wind, protected on three sides, really good for
doing load workups.
Just get tried of measuring between, 1/8 inch group and 1/4 +-
I can stretch it out during the warmer months in a farmers field
(snow up here) or drive 1 hour to a public range. (300 yds.)
This is a change in seating depth with my 6br 8 tw and 95g smk
I get bored, so a change is in order.

Just had my smith order a custom reamer for this barrel. (6br .270 neck, .035 freebore )
and I'm ordering a new barrel for it. That's in stock.
Krieger finished length 22-23 inches, 13.5 tw, HV contour. Going to run Barts 68g Avengers
Just sticking my toe into the world of BR. Going to install it in a tactical action and chassis, ( I have those )if I like it
and feel those are holding me back and wanting to compete, then full blown custom rig.
Will take a couple months to get all those pieces together. (reamer, bullets and barrel chambered)
I'll post hopefully some really small groups after break-in.
What to give credit to the members that gave their opinions and to Bart S. of Barts bullets and
Dusty Stevens, who let me bother them multiple times and gave me some really good advice. (which I took )

Good info. I wonder if your 80gr. results are specific to the barrels you have. I don’t see many shooting 100/200 using a 6br. It seems as though there may be an edge at 300 on windy days using the 6br and 80gr. bullets.

Some days its a big advantage at 200 with the 80s
