6BR AI reloading question

I am in the process of building a light gun for 600 & 1000 yrd benchrest chambered in 6 br ai (40 degree shoulder). I realize I'll have to fireform brass to chamber and get custom FL sizing dies made. My question is will a Redding micrometer bullet seater and a instant indicator in regular 6 br work with to seat bullets? Thanks for input in advance

Use the straight br brass to start with, it head spaces of the neck shoulder area with around .004 fit, if it was chambered right. You should feel it slightly tight bolt closing. Soft seat a bullet and it will get you close to start, you don't need a bunch of fancy stuff. ...... look at the land marks on the bullet. It will tell you the story ...... jim

This^^^^^^

I can`t wait for mine to get here...

Zero freebore for the 55`s with AA2230 will hopefully make for a great pasture poodle popper.....

Yes, you will need a seater, or modify your 6BR. A 6BR die with BR AI reamer run in will work well.

I got a micro seat WILSON die, then let Tim do his thing, also had a Harrell's sizing die done for sizing.

I believe you'll like the case, just load and shoot. I have mine with in 70fps of my dasher, slinging 105 Hybrids...

Just get a Harrells Dasher die and shorten it, A seater, make it from a die blank with the chamber reamer is best because Wilson's specs are very generous ........ jim
