6br ai

I've got an extra bat 3lug and an 8 twist blank
Really interested in the 6br ai for the 105 class Bullets. Would anyone who has some time spent with it share their reamer print? I've read the posts about using two different reamers to chamber it. I don't have a standard 6br or a dasher reamer I would just as soon buy one ai reamer
Next question on sizing and seating dies. I can see cutting off the bottom of a Wilson Dasher die for seater. But cutting the bottom off a hardened dasher sizing die doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Does Whidden or someone making dies from fired cases?

Whidden is making some custom dies for a few guys in Australia. Can't wait to start shooting this calibre to be honest.

Call your favorite reamer maker and tell them what you want. I just did that myself, but I made the chamber shorter overall because I like a more balanced looking case with a little less neck length than the BR. I went 1.540" chamber length instead of 1.570". You can use a BRDX reamer also but it also comes out short using the BR headspace gauge. Last one I did for myself I used the new Norma Dasher reamer held short using BR gauge. Thats a great way to go too. Max case length with my 1.610" OAL reamer is 1.537".

As far as dies I ordered 2 Harrells Dasher dies a #2 and #3, and with my specs at the .200" line the #2 works perfect. You must use a #6 grade carbide insert, but it will usually end up with a chip, or my method is wrong. Just a nibble cut .003" at a pass. Compare a Dasher and BR headspace gauge in the Harrells die to get your cut off numbers.

Once you get a fired case formed, use it for a gauge and you can modify a Wilson 6BR die, or cut the Dasher seater.

This is what I have in mind now
I can see the oal may need shortened
Tim, what did you go with at the .200 line?
