6BR & 110gr. SMK

I'd like to know more about this. I plan on shooting the 110 to 1000+ for a PRS rifle. It will lack energy but ballistically it will be almost identical to my 6.5 I am currently shooting.

I am shooting them out of a 7 twist 21" proof research barrel. Don't have my exact data in front of me, but I believe my load is 29.7 grains of Varget. I am jumping them .015" and getting 2720 fps. The load shoots great, have shot it to 1150. Been wanting to try it in my f class rifle, but only have an 8 twist.

I have to wonder how h4350 would work....
I'm not sure you could get enough of it in the case. I tried RL16 in my BRA with the 110 and it is a bulky powder but faster than 4350 and a case full didn't make any speed.
But would I at least try, yes.

Im shooting 34.60 grains of H4350 with a BR4 primer, Lapua brass and a Berger 108 BT jammed. The velocity averages 2980 with no signs of pressure. This is with a straight 6 BR and a 28" .236 4 groove 8 twist Kreiger. Most 5 shot groups are 3" or less at 600 yards, several in the 2" range. Velocity was checked with a magneto and verified with a lab radar. I use a 6" long drop tube and a slow pour.IMG_2445.JPG

Blanman, I don't know, I bought this rifle used and have no idea what the reamer specs were. I know who the smith is that built it, so I could reach out to him and see if he can get those numbers for me, but no promises, I don't know him that well. Also, forgot to mention, I am using BR-4 primers in that load. I have been playing with Sellier and Bellot primers lately in some other BR's and liking what I see so far.
