Used to shoot eggs at 200yds with a 14 twist 6BR and 58 V-Max. They should work well on varmints. The "thwack' they produce on an egg always let me know I hit without looking.
Nothing like hitting an egg with a match bullet. The eggsetters hiding behind a berm off to the side of the 200yd line were quite amused by the displays and noise.
A great powder in the 6BR/6PPC is elcheapo Ramshot X-Terminator. Excellent accuracy and velocity and you can run 400rds without cleaning if you so desire.
X-Term likes F205M primers the best. I've tried magnums but even loads developed with them tighten up much better with the 205 Match. X-Term loads do fall apart below 32 degrees too.
Above freezing I see no accuracy loss with temp changes.
