?? 600 YARD DEER KILLER ??

600 yard deer hunting is NOT for the average rifleman. Yes it can be done, but not by the average shooter. In Michigan, it cannot be done because of the trees. A fifty yard shot is long-range in the dense woods in the yupper, and one is fortunate to find such a clearing to shoot that far. Wyoming's Red Desert is the greatest possibility to see a deer at 600 yards. Utah's openess still would mentally restrict me to 300 yard shots. No one can change me. I'm a solid 300 yard shooter who practices at least once a week. Cliffy

There are just too many variables between yard #1 and yard #600. Just to mention a few...wind, mirage, temperature between load development and actual day of hunt, rest available, cold barrel versus warm/hot barrel sight in and movement of the animal after the trigger is pulled. I won't even go on to mention anything about the shooters ability when all cranked up on adrenalin vs calm during sight in/practice.
What the heck, it's only an animal!
