6-PPC for hogs

He did a video explaining his choices but looks to have been taken down. 308 is available in remote areas and he selects bullet weight based on the terrain and game. Pigs, camels, wild horses. He gets paid as a contractor to eradicate pests humanly. After shooting they do a fly over and double tap anything that moves or is large. All kills are GPS marked. 556 ends up costing more in helicopter time.
There is a you tube video titled "how many hogs can I take with 100 rounds?". Made by an Australian fellow if I recall correctly. Some really good offhand shooting! Pretty entertaining.

Kinda funny-

We always shot them - between eyes w/ 22LR- killed them dead-

What makes you think a 6ppc won’t??….
I wasn't questioning the ability to kill. I was just asking about the weight of the rifle for carrying and the distance you might be shooting from. There is certainly no question about accuracy. I was really looking to see how many responders are going to opt for a .338, .300 Win mag, or some other large caliber. BTW, I've never seen an AR that would be considered light-weight~!

You should be able to stabilize 55 gr bullets in 1/12” twist, the original M16/M16A1 has 1/14”twist and M193 55 gr FMJBT was standard.
When I qualified in Basic Training with the M16A1 in 1979 with iron sights and young eyes, even the 360 meter silhouettes were no problem.
I was remarking about the ability to stay under 1/2 MOA. I'm sure that it would shoot the 55 and up grain bullets to hit center mass in a man size target~!

If you knew how many I had killed from a helicopter with a 55gr in 223, you wouldn't worry about it! I've also killed dozens with a 68 br bullet in a 6br. It's plenty
