Oh yea, looks like that will work. Thanks for the chat @ Bill Norris
I dug out some old Lapua br brass with a zillion firings and made my own Dasher brass.
There not perfect but maybe good enough to run a comparison pressure ladder.

I took my farmboy Dasher brass out this morning for a re run, lo and behold Lapua brass handled the pressure up to 33.0 grains @ 2920 without bolt lift issues. Thanks for the chat @ Bill Norris

There u go Bro. Same thing I saw with Lapua. Glad its working for u.I took my farmboy Dasher brass out this morning for a re run, lo and behold Lapua brass handled the pressure up to 33.0 grains @ 2920 without bolt lift issues.
I guess I’ll be moving forward with Lapua brass.
All you can do is give it a try, other guys haven’t seen pressure issues.
If I could get anywhere close to this I’d be pleased but that’s not the case with my N140. I’ll be trying some different powder and bullet combinations as well.32.5 Varget CCI 450 12K jam shooting a Weber 103. Ave.2996 ES-10
Powder is holding you backLapua brass handled the pressure up to 33.0 grains @ 2920 without bolt lift issues.
Damn sure possible. The next ones in line are,Powder is holding you back
My experience is that N140 is slower than Varget.Powder is holding you back
Jim knows what powder I'm running in my 6br pushing 103VT to 2880, he's just gotta quit screwing around and do it.My experience is that N140 is slower than Varget.
Nicely done , I like your nice set up.Shot 50rd today.
31.3gr Varget
107 smk
Slight jam
Virgin alpha
28" 7 twist PVA Osprey 1.2"
Single shot TL3
Fully bedded br stock
SIDHE BR Evo trigger

SD 6
After 25rd it started tightening up nicely. Not to shabby for first time shooting Dasher. Look forward to tuning and load.
First time shooting the SIDHE trigger and I love it. Breaks like glass. No creep. Looking forward to getting some more rounds behind it.
A few 5 shot groups @ 100yd
Nicely done , I like your nice set up.
If I may ask about the radial expansion of the case, in particular the .200 line as well as the case shoulder junction ?
I noticed my cases were inclined to move forward a bit more than I’d care rather than radial, perhaps a second firing would change matters. IDk
To give you a few numbers ( without my notes in front of me )
From virgin to one firing. .005 from base to datum until .32.4 and then jumped another .002 for a total of .007
.200 line expanded about .002
Case shoulder expanded .002
I have seen the same thing happen. I chambered a few dashers the guys were using alpha brass the reamer I was using was a .272 neck 105 FBI took my farmboy Dasher brass out this morning for a re run, lo and behold Lapua brass handled the pressure up to 33.0 grains @ 2920 without bolt lift issues.

Not knowing what the difference between them I’m going to guess the body dimensions at the .200 line are smaller on the Alpha reamer ?I have seen the same thing happen. I chambered a few dashers the guys were using alpha brass the reamer I was using was a .272 neck 105 FB
The loaded alpha brass was neck turned. But still had pressure issues early.
I gave one of the guys a few pieces of LAPUA brass. He could run it as hard as he wanted within reason and no Pressure signs.
After some research on this I ordered the apha team reamer. Took one of the barrels and chambered it with the new reamer.
Issues were all gone.
