6 Dasher 105 RDF/ H4350

nice speeds guys your getting another 100 odd fps than my 6BRX with 2208/varget and 105gr htbrids
did some seating depth test with my hybrids at 200m/219yards then put magneto speed on and i thought i was happy till i saw your speed with same SD haha
30inch 1:7.5 kreiger with 32.4gr powder and CCI450 primers

looks like my hybrids like .008 jump but i did have a strong side wind at 200m ...

Boy, I have shot a lot of H4350 for the last 10 years. Every lot I ever had was within 5 to 6 feet a second, it has been one of the most consistent powders I have used. How much hotter are you talking and when did you get it? Matt

My Lot was in 2012 and it took my standard 300WSM load from 3050 to almost 3150fps same in my friends almost identical rifle. It the only inconsistent lot I've had.

I just loaded some dasher loads with 36.5 grains of H-4350 with Vapor Trail 103s and didn't need a long drop tube. My regular funnel worked fine. plenty of room for that load. While seating the bullets SOME of the rounds were crushing powder. I'll try them in a local match tomorrow.

View attachment 1002281 The 36.5 grains of H-4350 is a very accurate load under 103 gr Vapor Trails in my BAT B action rifle. I shot these loads today in our local match and without tuning they seemed to shoot pretty good. In the near future I'll do some tuning and see if I can get them to shoot as well as I think they will. Only some trigger time will tell. The above group is 10 shots and measures 2.8"

Dan, any idea on speed?
Adam

Adam I haven't run them over my chronograph yet so I don't have any velocity figures. I'll be doing that in the next few days. I'll post them when I do. This seemed to be hotter/faster than any of my other loads. You can see how high it was shooting and I had the gun sighted in for my 33.0 grain Varget load. I'm interested myself as to what the velocities are.
The above group was shot in some nasty weather, rain, wind and changing conditions in general.

So it's been a few weeks since some of you guys said you were gonna test 4350. Anyone got some more results? I'll load some up this afternoon and see how it goes. I've been working on getting my wife shooting and a couple other calibers ready so I haven't gotten too much time with my brx lately

I'm running 35.6 of IMR 4350.

SD of 7
ES of 16
Avg of 3007

26" barrel with 105 Berger hunting vlds

Shot under 1/2" at 200 yards.

Ran it out to 717 last night with very impressive results.

We settled on 32.8g of 8208XBR with .010 jump and 105JLK's. Single digit SD's at 2940fps. We simply could not make Varget work. Tried and tried, but kept coming back to 8208XBR. Varget always made our barrel hotter than the 8208. This is a 26" MullerWorks 7.5 twist in a Bighorn TL3.
