6 BRA first outing

Went and shot the new 6 BRA today. Had 12 rounds loaded up with new Lapua brass to get fire formed. Went with 29g H4895 at .010" in the lands with a 108g ELDM. 1st shot at 100 missed the target. Set up a target at 25 yards and shot a 2nd. Was quite a bit high. Adjusted to bullet hole and another few clicks "up" then moved back to the 100 yard target and shot this 10 round group. I think she's gonna be a shooter for sure! Think I'm in love already haha.

I was doing load work for another rifle and I brought out my bra to shoot inbetween while barrel was cooling on the prc. I had a few left over rounds from my previous match for my 6bra. Barrel was scrubbed clean and I loaded up 5 rounds of a different powder out of curiosity with a random charge to foul the barrel before getting into shooting. I sent one low, confirmed with a follow up, and then adjusted and shot a tiny 3 shot group.

Out of curiosity on how well that powder worked with my rifle I went back and loaded up a few more of that random charge with a different powder and managed to get back the other day to see if it was a fluke. I wanted to shoot a 10 shot group but by shot 5 it was so nice I was afraid to ruin it. I topped the mag off and went for 10 beside it on the next target instead of ruining that 5 shot group. Well it happens to be my pb 10 shot group. Guess I should explore more with this powder.

Shot from prone out of the back of my truck, with a mdt bipod and game changer bag.

Now we just need all of the information on the rifle, and Barrel?

Kelbly Atlas Tactical, 26" BRUX HV 8 twist, .271" neck and .135" freebore, Hellfire brake, MPA/BA Hybrid chassy, TT Diamond set at 8 oz, Warne Mountain Tech Rings, Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x EBR-7C MOA. Rifle work was done by James Eazor @ Eazor Precision.

Going to start load development this next weekend with H4895, 108g ELDMs at .005" off, .265" bushing for about 3.5 thou neck tension, CCI 450s, Lapua brass. Probably do a ladder at 300 yards, start around 29.6g and go up to 31g in .2g increments. Looking to end around 2850-2900 fps and 10 shot groups under a dime. Will also play with Rem 7.5s/CCI BR4s and .264"/.266" bushings after I settle on a load just to see what it really likes. Just a local PRS/MOA rifle, and also a long range steel toy out to 1K, plus I'll take it out for some coyote stands I'm sure! I'm excited to get it rolling! Definitely showing promise I think.

I just got N140 and have N135 on hand. I have small sample tested the N135 for speed, not jump in prior worn Kreiger 1-8 BRAI. New Bartlein 7.5R on now, headed to N140 from my current H4895. Thanks for sharing the results you have thus far. B105 looks like it is right where you need it group wise and velocity.
