1:8 twist works great for anything up to 108gr. If you can find Berger 105gr hybrid VLD's, there's no need to buy anything else. My factory Savage 30"bbl shoots .25moa consistently with Benchmark at 2840fps for 100-300yds and Rl-17 at 2950 for 600-1000yds.They shoot the IBS 300 score target. But there's a twist. Instead of 1 shot at each, they shoot 3 for a total of 150 points 5 x. I know most shoot the 30br at tips range but I like the heavier bullets (95-105) for their BC. I'm leaning towards the 105.
Would the 7 twist be to fast?
Tried the Dasher and returned to the 6BR.
