6 br encore pistol for deer hunting

this year Misssouri changed their muzzleloader season to alternitive methods season. we can now use a muzzleloader, pistol, bow or a crossbow in the late season.
today i had a tc custom shop15" 6 br barrel show up in the mail. is anyone else shooting deer with this combo. the chamber appears to be the 6 br norma though the barrel is marked 6 br remington.
any and all comments welcome.
any thoughts on what twist tc used in these barrels?

How old is the barrel? An older 6br remington may have a shorter chamber than the newer Norma BR.

I've taken deer with my 6MM BR for the last two years. Ballistics are very close to the old .250-3000 when using the 87 grain bullet. I used Hornady's 87 grain Interlock #2440 bullet loaded to 3000 FPS and got one shot kills. One deer ran about 40 yards and the other was dead where he stood. Both were shot at about 180 yards in my backyard.

barrel is from the mid to late 1990's and a 6 br lapua case drops right in and closes just like the old remington brass does.

on the hornady 87, what powder are you using to get 3000 fps velocity, is that from a pistol or rifle? so far i've only tried benchmark but also have rl 12.

That would be from a rifle and my powder is Varget.
