6.8 spc load data needed.

Hi,
asking this for a friend in need of some load data
he has an ar15 platform 6.8 spc with 16" barrel in 11 twist and specII chamber.
what bullet and powder combo do you guys recommend.

please help, thanks guys

I load 27gr benchmark behind 115gr SMK,s. 20in barrel, it holds an inch at 100yds, with a stock trigger.

seems like these things are not accurate , just like yours my friend can only get 1" groups at 100 yards.
he gets his best groups with 110 barnes

aa2200 powder, Hor. 120sst bullets, it was designed as a 300 yd. max for the military not a one hole shooter. A top notch trigger may help. one inch at 100 isn't that bad, what will it do at 200 or 300. I use mine as a light hunter for deer on down.

You could try 29grns. of H 322 with a 115 Grain Sierra SMK SSA brass and a col. of 2.3" shoots .5"-.750" in an AR 15 16" barrel SPCII chamber and a 2.5-10x28 NFS scope and even better with a 700 Rem. with a 20" tube .
I owe everyone on this forum an apology as I listed the wrong powder the first time now the H 322 is the correct load! That was a very very bad mistake since I sent the original email from work without my notes in front of me!!

From what I've seen & heard, the newest lot of AA2200 is one of the top choices for accuracy & velocity in the 6.8 SPC. I had some test loads ready to chrono with new Hornady 6.8 brass, AA2200 & S115MKs, but just sold the rifle, so don't have any actual data to share.

The suggestion to check out the 6.8 forum is a good one - those guys have done a ton of load testing, and aren't shy about sharing their load data.
