6.5mm 130 a5 hybrid for hunting.

Looked around and it seems like there isnt alot of info on this bullet for hunting. I talked to berger and they said it was good to go but im looking for some first hand experience. Ill be using a 260 rem. The current node im working with is about 2960 FPS.

I shot a few deer with it last year. It explodes, never got an exit but all DRT. Muzzle velocity 2870.

Great deer and antelope bullet in my experience, quick kills are the norm.

From the posts above it appears the 130 Hybrid is giving about the same performance as my hunting load in 6.5 Creedmoor. I've shot pigs, whitetail and a 200+ pound Axis with it using the horned SST 140 at 2850 and the bullet never exited. Made one heck of a mess inside the animals tho.

Used it on a Tahr this spring, about like a big Mulie buck size wise. 2990 at the muzzle. Blew through a front shoulder and did some pretty major damage. Found a few fragments under the off side skin. I'm a fan!

Explosive. Wife shot a cow elk with one out of a 260 Remington at ~ 500 yards. Low brisket impact. Massive wound/hole, in-and-out. Lots of blood and fairly quick kill, maybe went 100 yards downhill.
