6.5 Grendel 7 1/2 Twist?

I have a .264 barrel with 7.5 twist rate. I am wanting to build a 6.5 Grendel 22” bolt action. Will this barrel be too fast?
Any experience or advice will be appreciated.

Should shoot 120’s just fine.

Most common twist for Grendel is 1:8. You shouldn't have any issues with 1:7.5. No risk of excessive spin for common 6.5mm projectiles, especially at Grendel velocities.

On a slower cartridge like the Grendel, I'd opt for a 7.5 if I had the choice. The 223 uses a bit faster twist than the 22-250 to stabilize the same weight bullets. Smart move IMO. It will shoot the lighter bullets just fine as well.
