Plus one for the 129SSTA friend of mine has a Savage in the same caliber and he swears by the Hornady 129 SST.
I have to vote on the Nosler Accubond. My son got a 7x7 elk this year at 275 yd. with the 140gr. AB in the 260. I was watching and it put the bull right down. I've had a big bull go lots further with my big 30 magnums!Guys,
I do not own one, but friend has one and i was wondering what bullet you are finding to be a nice deer bullet in an 8 Twist? Open field hunting out to 600 is likely longest he will go, most less.
Thanks

Regardless of caliber and cartridge. Bullet type and shot placement will dictate how fast a deer goes down.
http://www.gunbroker.com/item/606241230 shows 1 in 8. The one my hunting buddy has is also 1 in 8.Thanks guys....now for my next question....
I cannot find any data from Savage regarding twist in the Axis 2 6.5 Creedmore. I see it on the "better models", but just a generic 12 twist listed on the 270...
Anyone own one and want to measure for me?
Thanks in advance
