6.5 Creedmoor vs 308 Winchester

I have both 6.5 Creedmoor and 308 rifles in bolt and AR ... I prefer the 308...the LR rifle set up in a long action, aluminum chasis, 4 oz trigger. Bartlein 5 R 30" heavy palma, 8 twist...feed out of the detachable 30-06 mag. My go to load is 200 SMK .715 BC at 2856 fps or 225 ELDM 2675 fps, 230 ATIP at 2620 fps. Over 3600 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, with 200 SMK, 7.34 Mils to 1000 from 100 yd zero, over 1700 fps left at 1000 yds.
So after a few yrs with the 2, 6.5 Creedmoors ..I'm actually quitting on 6.5 cal and going to the 6mm Dasher 110 gr SMK at 3085 fps for long...or 108 Berger at 3020 fps for accuracy, and 1000 yds. And the 308 for longer range and 300 RUM for way out. After the 6 Dasher & the long action 308 I don't even shoot the 6.5 Creedmoors. I saw what it can do...just don't need it. With all the new powders & heavy LR bullets the 308 is better than ever if you set it up with a fast twist high BC bullets, and great powders...put a break on it, not much recoil, long barrel life, & great accuracy.

Thanks Ray for that information. I have an MRAD and am working with a gunsmith on a new 308 barrel. Does Proof make just plan old vanilla s.s. barrels? I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber one that they have for MRAD, but finding a barrel conversion kit for the MRAD is very difficult these days.
Yes proof has plain old SS barrels, and I use them, and I'm not a fan of carbon fiber...
But I don't know what they offer for MRAD...or anything about a conversion system for Barrett
