6.5 Creedmoor Vs. 25 Creedmoor

@ SwampGunner,.. AGREE !
I am so, Tickled Pink with, the 6.5 Creedmoor and 130 grain, ELD-m's @ 2,850 fps from, a Braked, 24 inch Barrel with practically, NO Recoil and "Awesome" Group's,.. I see NO reason to, ever change.
Easy to "Dial" For, Steel Plates at 600, 750 and 850 yards ( It's my Day in, Day Out,.. FUN, Gun ! ).
I think the .25 Creed IS, mostly, a TOY for Bored, "Wildcat cartridge", shooters,.. JMHO !
There are, so Many, really GOOD, 6.5 Cal. Bullets to,.. choose from !
.25 Creedmoor,.. "WHY" ????

Hornady HAS some REAL "Winners" for SURE,.. 6.5 Creed, 6.5 and 7mm, PRC's, very accurate, ELD-M Bullets, from 120 to, 147 grains in 6.5 ( Plus other, Cal's ! ) the V-Max line and Big Game Killing, ELD-X's, in All Cal's !!
The .25 Creedmoor, will NOT be,.. a "Big Seller",.. IMO
But it's, Hornady,.. so, THEY Will try to Capitalize on, this New,.. "Fad" for,.. the $$$'s

So I have shot the 6.5 creed allot, been through maybe 4 or 5 barrels. Two years ago when finding
140 Berger 6.5 bullets was difficult I stumbled on a fantastic price for the Berger 25 cal long range bullets
so I bought a bunch of them.

The following day on another forum was a .257 7.25 twist barrel for sale "CHEAP". I had a smith
chamber it for 25 Creed and down the rabbit hole I went.

No matter what load I tried it shot bugholes and the ES numbers were some of the lowest I have had.
I was using H4350 and could have not been happier, until I tried R17. The R17 velocity numbers were unbelievable, at 1K my 6.5 Creed needed 8.1 mils where my 25 Creed needed 7.2 mils.

I had the Hornady 134 @ 2980 and the Berger 135 at 2970 with zero signs of pressure with R17.
Not feeling comfortable with the speed I reduced the load to 2940 FPS and carried on.

Its just another caliber to play with that is it, and no one forces anyone to invest in a new caliber.

Who cares what the name is, I’m glad a company finally stepped up to the plate and introduced a factory fast twist 25 caliber cartridge. Finally quarter bore fans can unlock the potential of that caliber.
Just hurts my heart to see such great calibers like the .250 Savage and the Bob get looked over. I would really love to see some manufactures offer some classic calibers in some fast twist options.
