6.5 creed and H4350

Is IMR 4350 the same or close to H4350?
I'm starting to load for a Howa 1500 24"barrel and I have several #s of it.
If you look at reloading data you will see that the IMR 4350 is slightly faster than H4350.

IMR 4350 is rated #140 and H4350 is #141 (slower) numbers can vary depending on which burn chart you look at.

Any good reloading book will show most likely a slightly reduced load using the IMR 4350.

I have used IMR 4350 for my 6.5 Cm and find that it works just as good if you follow the reloading data for that powder.

You still should do your ladder testing to see what you gun likes.

I used up my H4895 so now onto another powder H4350. I want to challenge myself to the 1000 yard milk jug shoot. Any suggestions on component's - I already have the brass Norma LR primer and Lapua SR primer also the powder. What I need are loads for a Ruger RPR 1st gen, Vortex PST 6x24x50 FFP EBR2C Milrad reticle. What load data and bullets do you all use and or recommend. I do have a few Barnes 140 Match Burners and some 140 Hornady ELD's. So any equipment and loads will be appreciated.
Thanks
My litegun I shoot in 1000 ibs is 6.5 creedmoore.
My load is 42.9 gr H 4350, alpha brass, cdi br4 primers seated .010 off lands.
It consistently shoots sub moa.
140 Berger vld. Sorted

Too slow in what sense? I’ve run powders as slow as RL26 in my 6.5 so I’m skeptical of a claim that faster burn than 4350 is necessary. Heck, 6.5 can shoot accurately with anything from h4895 to h1000. But burn speed wise, 4350 is pretty much perfect.
Absolutely agreed!

This.

I’ve got three 6.5CM up and running. Two barrels are finished at 23”. One on a AIAT and another on a Badger M2008 actions.

At 23” I’m pushing 135/140gr bullets an honest 2800fps. I’d have to go double check my charge weight but I know it’s right around 42.2 or so.

With 150gr bullets I’m running them at an honest 2700fps. 41.5gr.

My chamber has a different throat. Use my load with caution.

Also you besides chamber differences…you guys should also keep in mind barrels are made to different spec’s/tolerances. If your barrel has a bigger/looser bore and or tighter that will effect pressures and velocities.

Those loads hammer in my guns.

41.5gr of h4350 is a good charge to try. I use that in 1 rifle. The other im using R16 with 42.0gr in hornady brass. Its 100fps faster than h4350 load. Helps out at 1k yards. Less drop

I know that Win 760 powder is not the pretty girl at the prom, but with Berger 140g vld's/ht's, I'm getting 2750's with 42g of W760. At 100 yards and 220 yards less than 0.5 moa out of a Barrett MRAD with 26" suppressed barrel. CBTO: 2.200"
Sometimes ya just gotta use what you can get your hands on and make it work.

Just like frank mentioned barrels are really different. My krieger palma barrel limited me to 40.6 grains of H4350 with a 140 berger vld hunting. Will hold 1.5" at 600 and I hit pressure quickly past that.
