6.5 140gr amaxs or Bergers.

I was going to use the A-Maxs in my 6.5-06 AI but now I'm undecided between them and the bergers. I am going to use this gun to shoot whitetails out to 600yds. The rifle has a shilen in 1:8 twist. Hornady is cheaper,,Berger has better BC. Will the BC matter that much at 600yds. I'm trying to decide before we cut the chamber becuase I want to match it to what ever bullet I'm gonna shoot. Thanks, Trent

you'll be fine with either,i"m using Bergers,my friend had better accuracy with the Bergers also.I don't believe at all that you will be worse off with the A-max.

tough call? is there that much difference in chamber cut????

i would get a box of both and see which your gun likes better.

I have faced the same problem a couple of times. BulletSamples.com is a forum advertiser that lists both types of bullets you are considering. I have done business with him several times with complete satisfaction. You can buy any mix of bullets you want as long as you buy a minimum of 75 total.

I shoot the bergers, if you weight them you will be amazed at how close they are to the exact weight. I shot the VLDs in one gun and the target version in my BR rifle. I get sub .5 MOA in my 270 to 700 yards and sub .5 MOA in my 6.5X47 to 800 (that's as far as I can back up)
