I have the tight neck 270. My gun is built by Randy Dirks it's has a bat action a straight 1.450 barrel 32 inches long. Randy told me I would only ever have to shoot one load through my rifle and it was 52 grains of R22. Bug hole groups at 100. 3500 fps with the 107 Sierra match king. I have shot several ground hogs and can't say enough good things about this caliber. Only downfall is barrel life first barrel was 600 rounds before it went. I feel I can shoot smaller groups with this rifle than the guys shooting the 6ppc at 100. My longest kill is a ground hog at 1276 yards.
