5mm rimfire

So-new 5mm ammo is making it's long awaited return.

I was never a fan of the Remington 591 & 592.

I have a Marlin M25 in 22 Mag, magazine fed.

Do any of you know where I can get a 5mm barrel to do a conversion?

The the rim and body of the 5MM Rem ammo is larger than the 22 WMR. The Rem Mdl 591 and 592 rifles were were tested at a higher pressure level than 22 WMR rifles. It is unlikley that any conversions from a 22 WMR to Rem 5MM will be made.

MrMister: Caught your post about 5mm Rem ammo. While I don't have that rifle, a good friend does: without any ammo. Can you supply more info on its' availability?

Had a bolt action remmy clip fed in 5mm mag. Had a gunsmith sleeve the barrel-it shot <moa and did quite a job out to 200 yds. ME was 386ft/lbs as best I can recall. I traded it for a .22 hornet-big mistake! Steve-share your sport!
