500M Fly Shoot

Short story is the two Fclass guru's came to Huntsville and schooled us.

Thank you Mike for the hospitality and all of your hard work at the shoot. The match was a lot of fun. Enjoyed finally meeting you, @sdeal5 and many others. Hopefully we can make a claybird match sometime as well.

Congrats guys. I suspected F-Class skill sets would translate well to the fly game. Wish I could have been there, even though it looks like it must have been pretty tough conditions.

Last Saturdays Fly Shoot was a tough one for sure. Pine Valley is world renowned for its mirage, that might be a stretch but its is thick.
Add July heat and there was lots to complain about.
This game allows you and a partner to work together as shooter and spotter.
Not everyone takes advantage of this option but Johnny and Omar showed that it works when used.

Johnny Ingram was the match winner with 244.03 With his HG $300.00
Omar Alonzo was second overall with 242.06 With his HG $250.00
Donnel Gaines was third overall with 236.01 With his LG $200.00

High score in HG was Johnny Ingram
High score in LG was Donnel Gaines

Highest scoring HG target was 57.02 by Omar Alonzo
Highest scoring LG target was also 57.02 by Larry Deese

Small group in HG was Denny Henderson at 1.496"
Small group in LG was Denny Henderson at 1.438"

Finally we get to shoot this postal match against you guys!!

Wagga Wagga in southern NSW will host the match this Saturday so we will get to compare scores.

The weather should be pretty good so with a bit of luck we'll be able to give ya'll a real Aussie style floggin'. ( I think we owe you one! )

Getting match dates to coincide with each other has been difficult. The opposite seasons and gaps in each schedule makes it difficult to shoot on the same weekend as the Aussies. My biggest issue is trying to pick weekends for matches that don’t interfere with other matches here, most of the fly shooters here shoot several disciplines besides Fly.

Getting match dates to coincide with each other has been difficult. The opposite seasons and gaps in each schedule makes it difficult to shoot on the same weekend as the Aussies. My biggest issue is trying to pick weekends for matches that don’t interfere with other matches here, most of the fly shooters here shoot several disciplines besides Fly.
